Los Angeles based photographer / archivist / director Alexis Hunley centers intimacy, memory, and reclamation in her work, as it relates to the cultural and sociopolitical underpinnings of Black American life. Utilizing documentary and archival processes, Alexis explores ancestral memory and intergenerational healing as a means to acknowledge and celebrate the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
